We are a long day care centre located in Merrylands. We provide high quality care for children aged from 6 weeks to 6 years. Our opening hours are 7am to 6pm Monday to Friday.
We value the learning of fundamentals such as language, literacy, numeracy, art, music, self-help skills, problem solving and investigation. We are dedicated to providing your child with the latest education techniques and the very best educational start.
Our educational programs are based on the Early Years Learning Framework, which focuses on Belonging, Being and Becoming. Our program is developed through children’s interests, strengths, family input, community links and intentional teaching. Each interest-based learning experience is planned to developmentally support and challenge the children within an environment that fosters each child’s self-worth.
At Little Explorers Early Learning Centre we pride ourselves on delivering high quality early childhood education, with an approach that provides parents with the peace of mind that their child is being cared for by qualified Educators. We are dedicated to providing a stimulating, hands on learning environment, which is guided by each child’s current interests and development.
We take pride in creating a sense of belonging and community for children and their families. Our centres consist of two rooms with small class sizes, to ensure your child is cared for in a personal homelike setting. As well as large outdoor play spaces focusing on the natural environment, to provide enriched learning opportunities for children to be active, creative, inquisitive and independent.

Learning Links
If your child is showing signs that they struggle with learning, have social, emotional or behavioural issues, or are behind their peers with speech development or fine and gross motor skills, Learning Links is here to help.
We offer a range of assessments, including cognitive/IQ, academic skills, dyslexia, autism, ADHD, behavioural, speech and language, and occupational therapy. Our professionals can determine your child’s strengths, needs, preferred learning style and any appropriate interventions – an important first step in understanding how to best support them.
Following each assessment, you’ll receive a comprehensive written report to outline results as well as recommendations for your child. This can be also used to support your child’s NDIS plan.
Learning Links understands that every child is unique and has different strengths and challenges. That’s why we work closely with each family to provide guidance and the best possible program and opportunities for them to reach their full learning potential now and in the future.
To find out more about assessments or how we can support your NDIS plan, contact our Customer Care team on 1300 003 900 or visit

PARENT INFORMATION
Child car safety starts with properly fitting appropriate child seats and ensuring they are used correctly. It can also help to keep children happy and entertained so that you can focus on driving.
Driving with children Children aged 0 to 7 years must travel in a safely fastened child restraints. The right car seat or booster seat for your child depends on how old and how big he is:
Rearward facing (child faces the rear of the car) - use from birth and up to 6 months, with a built-in 5 or 6 point harness. Type A in the Australian Standard.
Forward facing (child faces the front of the car) - use when the child has outgrown the rear facing restraint up until at least 4 years of age, with a built-in 5 or 6 point harness. Type B in the Australian Standard.
Note: Forward facing restraints, Type B, fits most children up to at least 4 years of age. However, a new forward-facing restraint with an inbuilt harness, Type G, can be used up to approximately 8 years of age.
Booster seat - for children who have outgrown their forward facing restraint up to at least 8-10 years of age, to position the lap and sash belts safely. Type E, F in the Australian Standard.
Note: Booster cushions are boosters without the back and side wings that protect the child's head. They are being phased out, except for those built into cars.
Lap sash seatbelt - a seatbelt that has one part that goes across the lap and another that goes over the shoulder. It's recommended that children move to a lap sash belt only when they've outgrown the full booster seat or when their eyes are higher than the back of the full booster seat. A good adult seat belt fit can be achieved when a child is approximately 145 centimetres tall.
If your child is too small for the restraint specified for their age, they should be kept in their current restraint until it's safe to move to the next level.
Remember: it’s illegal and unsafe to carry your child on your lap in a car, even if you’re wearing a seatbelt.
