Integricare is a not for profit Christian charitable organisation providing quality services to the community for over 125 years. Currently we manage 15 child and family services across Sydney including Long Day Care Centres; Family Day Care Schemes; Preschools; an Occasional Care Centre; Supported Playgroup Services and a Family Support Worker Project.

Integricare Children's Centre Parramatta provides a high quality care and education program for up to 57 children
per day aged 0 to 6 years.

Hours of operation: 

Our Centre is open 7:30am-6.00pm Monday to Friday, 49 weeks of the year. Our annual close down period occurs during the Christmas period for 3 weeks (no fees charged for this time).

Meals:

Our qualified cook provides meals.  All meals are created with fresh and nutritious ingredients and incorporate more than 50% of the children daily needs. The meals include morning tea, lunch, afternoon tea and late afternoon tea.

Staff:

Staff have a range of qualifications and experience. Certificates of staff qualifications are displayed at the centre for you to see. We also pride ourselves here at Integricare Children's Centre Parramatta on having a higher ratio of staff to children and more qualified staff than what is required by the NSW Children's Services Regulation.

Program:

Integricare Children's Centre Parramatta prides themselves on the education that is provided for each child. We incorporate the Early Years Learning Framework and The Emergent Curriculum.   To enrich, enhance and encourage each child as an individual, children are provided with a range of indoor and outdoor experiences throughout the day. We base children's learning through play and interest based activities that are developmentally appropriate for each child's age. Each class has a "day book" where you can read about what the children have done throughout the day. An individual portfolio is also provided for each child, where staff document your individual child's experiences and learning at the Centre.

Public Holidays:

We do not charge for Public Holidays or during the annual 3 week close down period.

Viewing our Centre:

For more information about our service - parents and prospective parents are always welcome to come and view the centre; however we do suggest an appointment be made by new parents, to ensure that a staff member is available to show you through and answer any questions you may have.

Our Philosophy

Integricare Children's Centre Parramatta is a Christian Centre operating as part of Integricare.

Each child is unique and all bring with them their own life experiences and backgrounds.  We believe children learn through meaningful play experiences, fostering self-esteem, confidence and creativity.

We believe in providing a high quality educational program tailored to suit each individual child and its social, emotional, spiritual, creative, language and intellectual needs. A program that promotes inclusion of all children, integrating children with additional needs into the mainstream environment. A program that evolves from the children and that celebrates today along with their emerging interests.

We believe in providing an environment that is aesthetically pleasing, where children and families feel welcome, safe and secure and children feel free to explore and learn.  Where children are actively engaged and their experiences are enhanced and respected through quality interactions.

We believe that families are the primary educators and carers, and that families are the most important influence in the children's growing years.  Staff respect families as unique and diverse and work in a partnership with them for the benefit of enhancing/maximising children's learning and development.

Families are valued as co-educators in their child's learning and development at the Centre. We as trained professionals believe in empowering families to make informed decisions about their child's development and education.

We believe in providing families and the community with opportunities for partnership and involvement on a range of levels.  We believe in open communication between families and staff through both formal and informal means.  Information is shared between families and staff while privacy and confidentiality are maintained at all times.

Staff are professionals who bring diverse experiences, cultural background, knowledge, talents and interests to create a pleasant work environment that enhances a team approach and allows all staff to feel empowered by participating equally in decision making.

We believe that staff need support from Management and families to create a work environment that is conductive to self-fulfillment and development.  As part of a Christian organisation we aim to encourage the expression of sound Christian values and practices within the Centre.

Children, families and staff are part of a wider community.  We embrace the diversity within the community and use it as a resource.
