IN REGARD TO CHILDREN WE BELIEVE THAT:
Each child is uniquie and has individual potential.
Children need encouragement to learn from their mistakes and be able to take socially acceptable risks.
Children are people and need respect.
Children need a safe environment to grow to their fullest potential.
We need to develop and maintain a supportive environment for children, which enhances self-esteem and encourages the achievement of personal potential.
IN REGARD TO FAMILIES WE BELIEVE THAT:
A child's learning is a joint effort among both caregivers and families.
It is important to develop positive relationships with families that are based on mutual trust and open communication.
It is important to support diversity of individual families ie. family structure, role of families, lifestyle, languages, living environments etc.
Families are welcome to contribute ideas of cultural talents.

Staff work within the limits of professional role and be ongoing advocates for young children.
Staff need to accept and respect each other.
Staff are role models when interacting with each other and children and their families.

IN REGARDS TO THE COMMUNITY WE WILL ENDEAVOUR TO:
Explore the diverse composition in the community.
Give children experiences in the community.
Accept all community members.
Foster a successful partnershipbetween the Centre, home & community.
IN REGARDS TO SOCIAL ISSUES WE BELIEVE IN:
Positive attitudes towards diversity.
Acknowledge and incorporating the cultures of linguistic backgrounds of staff and families.
Focusing on similarities and commonalities as well as differences.
Respect all children and families to promote a society, which truly represents all in the future.
Accept people for who they are.
IN REGARDS TO THE PROGRAM WE BELIEVE THAT:
Planning and programming styles are based on a child's needs, strengths, interests and choices and are flexible for spontaneous activities.
A safe and enriched environment is a prerequisite for promoting a child's learning in all areas of development.
The program should value and support the cognitive, creative, physical, social and emotional development of each child.
