To provide a professional service that strives to meet the varying needs of families through positive partnerships that develop the child in a safe community.

We have both qualified and experienced staff.  The staff use a friendly and professional approach with the families and children who use our service and are very helpful.  Our staff believe in providing good role models for the children within the service and hold current First Aid Certificates.

IN REGARD TO CHILDREN WE BELIEVE THAT:

Each child is uniquie and has individual potential.

IN REGARD TO FAMILIES WE BELIEVE THAT:

–   A child's learning is a joint effort among both caregivers and families.

–   It is important to develop positive relationships with families that are based on mutual trust and open communication.

–   It is important to support diversity of individual families ie. family structure, role of families, lifestyle, languages, living environments etc.

–   Families are welcome to contribute ideas of cultural talents.

IN REGARDS TO THE PROGRAM WE BELIEVE THAT:

–   Planning and programming styles are based on a child's needs, strengths, interests and choices and are flexible for spontaneous activities.

–   A safe and enriched environment is a prerequisite for promoting a child's learning in all areas of development.

–   The program should value and support the cognitive, creative, physical, social and emotional development of each child.

IN REGARDS TO MANAGEMENT WE BELIEVE IN:

–   Maintaining and responsive to the needs of children, staff and the community.

–   Creating and maintaining a happy, secure and safe environment at all times.

We believe that open and honest communication is of extreme importance for the whole team - families, staff and children.  It is important that we share relevant information with each other, keeping each other updated on your child's well being. 

We do this in various ways - apart from general conversation on your child's arrival and departure, we also do daily meal/rest charts.  We have a nappy, toilet training  and bottle chart for the younger children also.

Each child has their own journal used to document their experiences throughout the year.  Journals provide information for reflection, assessment and planning.  They enable meaningful and on-going partnerships between parents and caregivers.  Entries are made on a regular basis and families are encouraged to document any experiences about their child.
